I try to be a good poet, most years, during April (National Poetry Month); try to write and blogpost a Poem-A-Day.
I remember writing this one a few years back, but I have no record of having shared it with others.
Sorry for the delay. Pretend it’s April.

Haikutankacrostic
Having written poems
all month long during April
I give up the fight
Kiss me goodbye; I’m fading
under an acrostic moon

*Chuckle*. I remember that feeling at the ends of poetry Aprils. (Well, I guess that’s one way of doing haiku, lol!)
I started this year but gave up less that half way through as I found I wasn’t enjoying it enough.
I was counting with my fingers again, fun!
You may have faded away after that long-ago April, but you’re back now as vigorous as ever!
October and April are kissing cousins, so… imagining what you ask is more than easy. I so understand the sentiment behind this poem. Also, I love the title and the form.
Thanks for the smile!
NaPoWriMo can be a slog, and I have forgotten poems I’ve written, sometimes a week after writing them! I enjoyed this cross-breed very much. 😉
Grinning …. I have never attempted a month of poems (and I won’t.)
Oh I love this delightfully clever poem! That title is awesome!
I like the poem and love the concept of a “tankacrostic.”
