Heart
It’s not convenient now, is it,
having one that breaks, daily;
having one that fails.
When I heard you on the phone
I almost escaped knowing your voice.
Here in Vermont, everything’s green
but out on your flats there’s only fog,
static, little or nothing to do,
and nothing to be done.

Poem puts in so well in words that state of mind, I suppose.
oh this is so real; so painful; and that last line just opens doors and slams them shut at the same time.
brilliantly true and sad
Sounds like an ‘ex’ calling, Ron.
