It’s Quadrille Monday again at the dVerse Poets Pub; time to create a 44-word poem.
This week, we’re asked to create a poem using the word “Sharp” or some incorporation thereof.
Thanks to De Jackson (aka WhimsyGizmo) for hosting and getting us started.

Feeding Writer’s Block
Even an oddly-shaped phrase,
improperly turned and trimmed,
wilting beside an over-travelled path
can meet the starving poet/forager’s needs,
provided that his hunger
(and desire) are sharp enough.
And even the most unworthy
singsong can feed him.
The crucial thing’s this:
Do Not Starve.

~ Look Sharp, Now ~

Oh, YES.
A poet can find a way….
An excellent example of ars poetica, Ron! As long as we have poetry communities, we shall not starve.
The most interesting phrases are the unexpected ones.
“provided that his hunger (and desire) are sharp enough” yes indeed.
You certainly “fit the bill” for sharpness! Loved this, Ron.
Do not be sated, but not too hungry either… keep som thirst to inspire.
Yes! Feed the muse a few snacks. He’ll be back.
