It’s Quadrille Monday again at the dVerse Poets Pub; time to create a 44-word poem.
This week, we’re asked to create a poem using the word “Wrap” or some word that incorporates it.
Thanks to Mish for hosting and getting us started.

Gift Wrap
I never really thought of
Zig-Zags as wrapping paper
until he pinched some off,
rolled it up, handed it over
saying, “Here, man; this’ll
totally blow you away.”
And
he was right; it did. It was
the best (and smallest) gift
I ever got.

~ Wrap ~

Yeah, man, takes me back to 1968, rock concerts, no bras, and free love. All of which was counterpoint to Nixon and Viet Nam.
haha! Oh, such great memories!
Well there’s a use of “wrap” I hadn’t thought of…
I’m glad it blew your mind away and took the edge off! We all need something that relaxes us completely sometimes.
Nice one.
Thanks for dropping by to read mine
Much💚love
Okay, that was an excellent take on the prompt. Wow! That takes me back. Well done!
This one made me smile! It is amazing how many kinds of wraps there are!
Good things in small packages 🙂
Lol.
Ha. That was clever.
LOL— “thanks bud”
Love this my brother. Took me sailin’ back in time. I used to be able to one-hand roll a single-paper pencil joint. Now my damned twister arthritic fingers can barely get a paper out of a pack. Ah — but bless the edibles… 🙂✌🏼🫶🏼
A use I would not have thought of. 😏
Ron,
44 words that made me chuckle. Great use of the prompt.
I’m so jealous, Ron… I want a gift like that.
