It’s Quadrille Monday again at the dVerse Poets Pub; time to create a 44-word poem.
This week, we’re asked to create a poem using the word “Tinsel”.
Thanks to Mish for hosting and getting us started.

Deglitterization
Everything, this time of year,
is holly-jolly caroling and
pointless tinsel glitter.
Maybe if we looked around,
found —or maybe created—
a little Peace On Earth, or
maybe if—even for just a minute—
we tried to practice what we preach,
maybe then… ummm…

Exactly. Umm.
Yes… we dress up our own fallacies in tinsel and preach for others.
Amen!
Haha – yes maybe …
Agreed! You had me at the title.
Well now. I am sure there us a lot of peace and love around somewhere. Maybe we need more of it
Much🎄love
How cruel. How delightful.
Bravo!
Yes, of course!!!
Your point is very well taken! Great poem… umm? Something to think about!
Who can argue with that? As the song goes, “Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me . . . . ”
Pax,
Dora
Yes, shine from within, that’s what I say. Cheers, Ron.
a message writ large without the tinsel Ron
– wishing you peace this Christmas
I believe you have a strong consensus here.
I’m late to the party, so I’ll just say what everyone else said…
Yes, agreed. It should be about the caring and not about the glitter.
A mighty big ‘maybe’ … I echo your poetic sentiment.
