Scriptolicious

It’s Quadrille Monday again at the dVerse Poets Pub; time to create a 44-word poem. This week, we’re asked to create a poem using the word “Heart ” or some word that incorporates it.

Thanks to De Jackson (aka WhimsyGizmo) for hosting and getting us started.

There should be a heart font
instantly recognizable
like Times New Roman or
(my favorite) Tahoma;
a font that only lovers can read;
that sings unending love
even if you’re only noodling
the first draft of a lovesong
or printing out a shopping list.

  1. The last half is what got me. I adore the mental image of a person writing their love through a grocery list. I’m surprised at how much that touched me.

  2. First of all, the idea of a font that only lovers can read is brilliant, and second, I also love Tahoma why does no one use this font! (I actually have a client that switches all my docs to Arial, the world’s dullest font)
