It didn’t last, but there it was…yesterday morning:
Last half-inch of snow
March slow-shifting to April
—still no chickadees—

Never mind Willy. Free the chickadees, Winter!
Keep the faith!
Those chickadees will be there soon, Ron. Hang on in there!
I’m sure I hear a faint tweet. I reckon they are on their way 😀
I am sure those chickadees cant be far away now that it’s the end of March.
Not very inviting for those songbirds. Love the shifting.
Here too, yesterday. But the birds were chirping up a storm!
My little chickadee comes to mind…
hang in there… they’re coming!! :>)
A family of Black Capped Chickadees has been visiting my bird feeder almost every day for the last week, I shall tell them that you miss them.
No chickadees in Bend either … however I purchased five posts of primroses yesterday, promised not to succumb to a light freeze by the salesperson. Cheers, Ron.
Sorry, POTS
It seems after the first warm days announce Spring, winter always has to have the last word. Fortunately it doesn’t last long, and I’m sure the chickadees are on their way! Happy Spring, Ron!
We finally had a burst of warmer days, for which I’m very grateful. The spring ephemerals were up and about this weekend, including my favorites, the spring beauties.
If I see any little chickadees, I shall send them your way. Winter has another kick or two left in her before May so I hope they beware.
