Thanks to Sanaa, hosting today’s challenge to write something about November over at dVerse Poets…

Sevenling (he can’t keep)
He can’t keep track anymore;
he hardly even tries:
Moonday? Websday? Flyday?
Septober, Octember, Nonmember
and don and don and don
no Slappy New Cheer in sight.
His daze is innumerable.

Love the word play in this, especially the last line!
I know you are an Sevenling addict but it suits your capacity for brevity – a fun read
“and don and don and don
no Slappy New Cheer in sight.”
Being socially distanced for more than seven months I know this feeling well. I have to count the days really.
I enjoyed it, original, well done.
Brilliant, clever, and humorous wordplay and structure in this piece. I enjoyed reading it!
This is absolutely delightful 😀 I love the lightheartedness of this poem, Ron. 💝
great wordplay here …
a sense of fun
doused by a dose of glum 🙂
super creative! really different and enjoyable to read and re-read
I know how this feels – we can’t keep up. Love the playful & creative way of the calendar days & months.
Brilliant. (By the way it’s Chooseday, hopefully it won’t go don and don and don.)
Hahahaha!
Been there, done that. Strike that. Am there, doing that. Fun and true at the same time, Ron.
You are the master of the sevenling.
LOL
ENJOYED this sevenling
Stay safe

Oh, the lockdown brain fog! This is it, right here in this poem! A great write, Ron.
Locked in the wine cellar I see! An entertaining story, just right to get the cobwebs out of this Websday morning!
This delightfully fun sevenling reminded me of Lewis Carroll’s “Jaberwocky”. I loved it.
Cleverly worded! It’s a fun form, too.
Giggle Giggle. A mind-bender of a poem … I love it!
