Sevenling (some things, like)

Sevenling (some things, like)

Some things, like it or not, vanish; some
refuse to vanish, refuse to even fade.
So many things boldly demand inscription.

He forgets to shower, forgets to eat,
forgets to get up and walk away.
He remembers how to surrender.

He wishes his pockets were empty.

  1. LOL, well I did say to have fun interpreting it. And this is a very intriguing portrait of a subject who seems to continue paying a steep emotional price.

  2. A mysterious poem… makes me wonder if the “he” in the second stanza is the same as the “he” in the third.
