These green trees move and grow
I told her there deep in the forest
while I inhaled the earliest morning
and in the slightest breeze she said
I’ll bet you hear them singing
And how could I say no
when she held my hand,
let me take her there at sunrise
how could I deny
they do not hesitate to sing
or hide themselves from light she said
be like the morning starlings
sing awhile amid the green
no other voices matter

This is so beautiful! I especially like; “they do not hesitate to sing
or hide themselves from light.” 🙂
Lively and luscious green has that effect in a voice. So many things are easier and enjoyable, when the setting promotes the doing.
Awesome!!!!
Thanks.
I love trees–and being a singer, I love their voices—
Nothing more peaceful than being among trees. The stories they could tell!!
Nothing is more pleasurable that have the trees whisper to you. A beautiful poem Ron.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Yes, yes, they do sing! Love this Ron!
Bravo! Beautiful and musical. Yay to the birds!
“sing awhile amid the green
no other voices matter”
I would enjoy a morning listening to the songs on display. Thank you for sharing the image of songs among the trees.
