She laid out his options.
He counted to ten;
told her he couldn’t.

Not that the choices weren’t
all clear enough or juicy;
(some far juicier than others)
or that he felt indecisive…

just that ten potentials
seemed too many.

He begged her to
narrow the field for him.

She handed him a coin,
told him, “It’s me or…”
