Dharma Of Impermanence
When he was younger, he’d always looked forward to April, as most young men do, but he wasn’t young anymore and now, as the years kept passing by, he’d learned first to accept and then to treasure seasonal change.
He steps out to get the mail, stands on the not-yet-greened front lawn, and longs for nothing but the moment, which will not last.
last October’s leaves
blow across April’s driveway—
all things fall away
