A Legend Fails
He thought maybe it was his
googly eyes or his moustache,
his gigantic floppy ears or
his inability to choose between
his dopey undersized derby
or his bright blue cowboy hat;
or maybe it was his bowtie
(nobody wears bowties anymore).
Maybe it was because all he knew
was how to smile and wave and
and smile and wave and smile.
Whatever it was, Mr. Potato Head’s
Chartered Helicopter Limousine Service
never really got off the ground.
