Minus His Muse. . .

Our friend and colleague, Ingrid, hosting this week’s Poetics Prompt at the dVerse Poets Pub, provides us with some great background about Poetic Muses and challenges us to create something that invokes, identifies, or is inspired by our personal Muse…

When His Muse Leaves For Maine
……………for My Beloved Sandra

His breakfast:
leftover Thai.

All day at the keyboard:

If he thinks
he’ll dream
he’s dreaming.

  1. I, too, assume the position at the keyboard, 7 hours on a good day, 4 when malaise, or pain or appointments interrupt my routine; poetry and photography are what drives me, and sustains me.

  2. Oddly enough the first thing your words reminded of what the old Bill Withers song “Ain’t No Sunshine (When She’s Gone).” So much love evoked in so few words in this moving tribute.

  3. Thai food for breakfast, keyboard, and your beloved Sandra. Wonderful work, Ron. I enjoyed all the sentiments expressed.
