One (un)True Sentence

Lisa’s hosting this week’s Poetics Challenge at dVerse Poets Pub, and has presented us with a selection of great Hemingway sentences to use as a trigger for our own work. I selected: “Isn’t it pretty to think so” from The Sun Also Rises (1926).


On Tour

Things’ll be better when I get back,
he keeps telling himself
checking the safety on his rifle and
inching toward the trench’s edge.
