You Have Been Warned…

(We’ve been challenged by Lisa, tonight’s host at the dVerse Poets Pub to address / include “Folly”.)

———-[||]———-

Forward To A Rough Draft

Some parts of this story don’t make any sense.

Some parts of this story’s prelude
shrouded in ambiguity and folly,
lost in unintended double entendre,
lead you where you should not follow.

In certain paragraphs of this story,
obfuscation and verisimilitude rule.

Before this story concludes,
pointless redundancy
will share its throne with
relentless, tedious verbosity
and puerile flights of fancy.

By all means, gentle reader,
read on.

  1. Your folly poem is deliciously tongue in cheek, Ron, and it made me smile. I enjoyed the rhyming and the playfulness of the piece. I especially love:
‘In certain paragraphs of this story,
    obfuscation and verisimilitude rule’
    and
    ‘pointless redundancy
    will share its throne with
    relentless, tedious verbosity
    and puerile flights of fancy’.

  2. Ron you always make me smile. I love this prologue. I will certainly have to hunt down and read the story. But if you ask me, much of life is pointless redundancy – so I will probably relate to this tale you speak of. Well written as always. 🙂
