30 In 30 /#12/ A Shadorma Haibun

One of his online friends, a Southern Belle and fellow poet had become so enamored of the form (and presumably just its catchy name) that in very short order after discovering it, and for some considerable time thereafter, she wrote virtually nothing else. He was determined not to share that fate, however, and managed to get half-way through April before he finally succumbed.

He wrote three.
Then he wrote five more.
He could not
help himself.
He counted the syllables,
wrote the Shadormas.

  1. either name or both together would make a wonderful name for a Worlds of Warcraft character. My next, i suspect, will be known as Shardorma the Haibun
