Six Word Saturday

Four-Thirty’s Not The Same Without Her

four-thirty

(AM or PM; it doesn’t matter)

My Beloved Sandra’s off to Maine this weekend to be part of her family when family’s what’s most needed. She left shortly after I got home yesterday afternoon, the door closing behind her about half an hour after my +/- 4PM return from work.

I thought the house felt pretty empty.

But about half an hour ago, waking up at 4:30 AM (not atypically, by the way), the house seemed even emptier, if such a thing were possible.

Bonus Six (looking out at the still-dark deck):

  1. I’d ‘like’ that post, Mr. L., except I don’t like the idea of you rattling around in that empty house.
As to the possibilities before sunrise, think of what you saw as heavy heavy fog that stuck to the ground.
