Carrying On

Six Words for Saturday:

Nobody Loves Janey Like I Do

I just received the 4th rejection (of six submissions) of The Janey Poems, a chapbook collection of 24 of my Janey poems (several of which have already been published, and can be found at Eggs Over Tokyo).

I remain undeterred.  Four down, two to go, I guess.  Then—if my genius remains  unrecognized and inadequately rewarded—review,  revise (maybe), and resubmit all over the place. Again.

So far, anyway, nobody loves Janey like I do.

  1. whatever you do, dont give in to publisher pressure too much. the Janey poem’s greatest charm is what it is right now. You don’t want her to become just another bimbo slinging donuts, now.

She’s special. Cut her hair or take away her earring and she won’t be the same…

  2. We write. We submit. We get no reply forever. We follow up. We get a rejection. Or we get an acceptance. Then, we wait again for publication and again for payment. We are very determent and will find satisfaction at some point! 🙂
