Oubliette: Myth Of Captivity

There is no bottom.
The longer I am here
the more deeply I understand:
bottom is a myth.

Your meager chains and locks
are nothing to me now;
I surrender to them easily,
remember starlight,
sink into my escape.

Little busy today.  Reposted this (oldie) for The Daily Prompt:

Captivating and Descend

  1. I read the poem without the photo and found it a bit eerie, but the photo put it all together for me. In some ways, I like it without the photo so that I could imagine more. Really like it both ways though. ~nan

  2. Wonderful choice of words to depict your skillful craft of writing. Loving the style you show your feelings in words, deftly presented, straight to the point. Nice layout. Have hope, write on!
