Six Word Saturday

It’s Not Like Kids Count, Right?

Hey, you don’t have to listen to me on the subject of gun control; just ask any grieving relative. There’s certainly plenty of them available these days.

  1. there’s always the idea that if we have strict gun controls then the guns would be out of the hands of ordinary citizens and in the hands of the crimimals. um. criminals run behind the law, not in front of it. If they want a gun, or a militia’s worth of guns, they get them. Most of the people who take out other people, no matter the venue or reason, would be unable to put their hands on a gun at all.
Or even tame it down: one gun per household, case by case need. The man who lives in the midwest needs a gun. The man who lives in Paterson New Jersey does not.

  2. Those who lost a child yesterday don’t want to hear the rationalization behind gun control laws or lack thereof. They want their child back. That’s not possible, thanks to someone with a gun. May they somehow find peace to get through the rest of their days.

    • jazz, that was what I meant. most of the people who do this sort of thing are private citizens. Without the easy access to guns that we have so many of these dreadful events need not have happened.

  3. It took me all day to come up with a post for 6WS. As Gandhi said, “Be the change…” We can only try. I don’t know if you ever stop by my blog, but you are welcome.
