Everyone Please Put Down Your Weapons
It’s enough already, don’t you think?
I’m asking you nicely. Please. Please.

Six Word Saturday: Every time it comes around, our friend Call Me Cate invites you to have your six-word say at Show My Face.
You had me with the title.
This is a sobering post. Thank you.

I couldn’t agree more!!!
Nice, Ron. 🙂 Don’t take your gun to town, son.
That reminds me of our bathroom floor when I knocked over a bottle of red finger nail polish. There are still red blotches down in the dimples of the tile.
..
good intention, but it is in our nature to hurt each other.
sorry!!

I disagree, respectfully.
let’s hope you are right.
but given a shift of conditions,
humans tend to revert to primal instincts.
again, let’s hope you are right.
i didn’t intend to rain on your parade.
:)~
Reminds me of this verse: Hosea 2: 18 “Bow and sword and battle I will abolish from the land, so that all may lie down in safety.”
amen to that!!
Gosh, I think Ticklebear is wrong. At least, it’s not in the nature of most folks I know, or myself, to hurt others. However, being a good Southerner…I’m not holding my weapon, but I sure have one. 🙂
you’re joking about the weapon, right??
😉
I like Susan’s comment…(Found your blog from Six Word Saturday!)
If only we could make people see the truth in your words.
Awesome six words Ron
Cheers, Fi
The photo is sure powerful…..what the world could use even more now then when it came out…is the story behind that old song…I’d like to teach the world to sing…..and mean it…..enough pain and suffering I say for sure…great thoughtful provoking post.
You have a way with words, Ron…whether it’s a page-long poem, or s compact six-word statement. So glad I get to read your words…
~Paula
P.S. Hadn’t done Six Word Saturday…tried it yesterday for the first time.
Six very important words, Ron.
weapons can be in a lot of forms to me. one of those is mental abuse and someone not able to appreciate god’s beautiful gifts. I pray that everyone can first look at their own actions everyday before they set out to hurt.
If you mean do we really have guns, then yes. Most everyone I know has guns. It’s not anything we even think about, we were raised with guns in the house. We have gun shows and shooting matches, knife shows, fishing tournaments, hunting and gigging. It’s just a few of the things that makes a southern way of life.
