    always used to think of her as a rock singer. now i hear this and realize she was blues, all the way, her way. someone said, if you dont live it, you can’t sing it. mr. lavalette, thank you for reminding me.

      Oh, yeah. Her Turtle Blues or, better yet, Ball And Chain will rip yer head off. I dug out her vinyl (the only way to really hear her) this morning & let her tear the place up, full volume. Even My Beloved Sandra (a pop tune goddess) expressed her appreciation.
