It’s Like Driving On The Moon
It’s hard to decide which is worse: ten thousand frozen potholes in a half-mile stretch, each a potential axle-buster, or mile after mile of rutted, quicksandy muck.

But it’s an easy cruise over to Call Me Cate‘s SHOW MY FACE. Check it out!

Decisions, decisions. Could you move house?
It’s like that around here, too. Wonderful pictures, though—especially that first one. Beautiful reflection!
Ouch but great pics.
I feel your pain!
Oh sadly I so much know this feeling! Yikes !!!
Oh dear! We always enjoy a good moan at the Council about our potholes, Ron, but these are beyond a joke.
Those are small lakes, no potholes, Ron! Good luck navigating.
I’ll choose the holes over the muck though. The holes can be avoided – well, sort of – the muck not.
Enjoy the weekend :)
hmmm….. I think I would choose the holes and try to swerve rather than getting stuck in the muck (although that is what life feels like sometimes anyway!!)
Have a good week
Perhaps there’s something to be said for public transport after all.
Naaaaah!
I say go around the potholes as the muck is for being stuck!!!
What a difficult choice. Possibly I’d go for the potholes, driven over/round very slowly…
love love love thos pot hole reflections- delightful to see- not so much when you have to dodge them! Wishing you a great week!
ohhhh yeah. Our back roads look a lot like this, I think I prefer the Other Side of the Road philosophy, as long as the people coming at me around the blind corner dont object. Good luck in your travels and travails, Ron.
What an amazing photo with the pot holes! It’s no fun driving through them though. The quicksandy muck doesn’t sound too appealing either. But I know when travelling you can stumble onto both variations ;)
This is painful for your vehicle and for you. I know that Bill says it is literally everywhere, and dangerous.
Love that reflection photo. Might be time to move to where there are paved roads…
Hey Ron, those are ‘some’ roads you found. I’ll take the Houston area’s good streets anytime. Congratulations on your “Not Quite Mud-Luscious Yet” making it big time.
